Celebrate Vishwakarma Puja with Joyfulness

Introduction :-

As stated by traditional Hindu calendar, Vishwakarma Puja occurs on the last day of the month Bhadra/Bhadrapaba. The day is also recognized as Bhadra Sankranti. According to Hindu myths, it is believed that Lord Vishwakarma is the divine architect of the universe. The proprietors & business persons would grow and prosper by organizing this puja. Most of the industries, factories, and workstations celebrate this auspicious day. This year Vishwakarma puja will take place on 17th September, 2015.

Ingredients :-

• Idol of Lord Vishwakarma
• Incense Sticks/ Agarbatti
• Diyas
• Lotus with Eight Petals
• Seven Types of Grains, Nuts
• Five type of leaves
• Container/ Vessel Filled with Rice
• Flowers, Fruits, Naivedya
• Vastra & Jewelry for Offering
• Paanchamrita (Mixture of Milk, Ghee, Curd, Sugar, and Honey)
• Sacred Thread, Holy Water, Camphor, Incense
• Sindoor (Vermillion), Kumkum, Chandan (Sandalwood Paste), Haldi (Turmeric)

Puja Vidhi (Puja Procedure) :-

In the early morning, workplace should be cleaned and decorated. The machinery are also cleaned and they are not brought to use. The Purohit applies sindoor, kumkum on all the gadgets at workplace/home and pray for the wellbeing & success of the proprietors, business owners, and family.

A statue of the Lord Vishwakarma is placed in the factory/workplace. The owners, employees assemble at the puja place to pray to the Lord. Fresh fruits, naivedyam, bhog are given as offerings to the Lord. Purohit lights up the diyas and incense sticks; offers the vastra, paachamrita, and jewelry to the God. By presenting flowers, tulsi leaves to the Lord Vishwakarma, the Purohit starts chanting Vedic mantras. After worshipping, one can distribute the prasad among the people.

In the evening, an aarti is prearranged to seek out blessing of the Lord. Offer camphor, incense, and holy water to the God. The idol of Vishwakarma should be kept back during the night. At night, one person should to be there in the workplace to ensure that the ‘Akhand Deepak’ is on constantly.

The next calendar day visarjan is organized in the morning in a river. Several factory owners distribute new garments and money to the workers as gift on this auspicious day.
