In the next life, Devi Parvati (Teej Mata) was born to Lord Himavat who was an ardent follower of Lord Shiva. After a long time of self penance by Devi Parvati and her devotion towards Lord Shiva, their union took place on the third day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Sawan.
