Sawan or Shravan month is the fifth month according to the Hindu calendar and is considered as the holiest month of the year. During the course of this month, the star ‘Shravan’ rules the sky and hence the month derived its name called Shravan. The month of Sawan begins during the month of July and ends in the concluding part of the month of August.
