One of the holiest and pious festivals of the Sikh Religion is Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti. It is mainly celebrated in the Sikh culture. This festival commemorates the birthday of the tenth Sikh guru and pays tribute to him. He is a great warrior, clairvoyant, philosopher, and poet. The father of Guru Gobind Ji- Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was beheaded as he refused to convert into Islam. Thus, he was established as the tenth Sikh guru at the mere age of nine. Guru Gobind Ji also lost all of his four sons in his life where two died as a warrior, and the Mughal army executed the other two. He also has many prominent contributions to the Sikh community, and one of them is founding the Sikh warrior community- Khalsa.
